The mission of the Radiation Exposure Screening and Education Program (RESEP) is to aid the thousands of individuals adversely affected by the mining, transport and processing of uranium and the testing of nuclear weapons for the Nation's weapons arsenal. This will be accomplished by carrying out programs designed for public education and information; screening eligible individuals for cancer and other related diseases, providing appropriate referral for medical treatment; and facilitating documentation of claims under the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act.
